Lima

Downtown Lima. It’s really quiet because we got there fairly early (we are obviously not on local time). As the day progressed, we soon realised this was the place to be. Lots of locals and tourists filled the streets! Some pictures of the beauty we found in Lima…

We booked a tourist bus to go up to San Cristobal, which overlooks Lima. The bus travelled through Pueblos jóvenes (I understand this area is similar to the favelas, in Brazil).

The cliffs in Miraflores, a 5 minute walk from our accommodation. This area is a great place to be staying. We ran along the cliffs in the morning as kickstart to our Peru fitness! You can see that the fog followed us from New York City!

Peru is all a bit of a mystery to me. Francis has planned it all (and Bolivia which comes next). So I don’t know what tomorrow brings. As someone who loves routine and structure in their day, I’m enjoying the surprise. Until next time…
