Sacred Valley Adventure

We wanted to get from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. We got a locals bus from Cusco to the Maras turnoff, where there are taxi drivers waiting for a job. Francis negotiated a driver for a few hours and we went to see the Inca ruins in Moray, and the salt ponds in Maras. I had no idea what we were going to see and do, so this was all a beautiful surprise! The ruins in Moray were supposedly used by the inca to study how the different altitudes can effect crops. How amazing! The salt ponds were stunning to see and touch! After we explored all of this, we got dropped at the Maras turnoff point and jumped on a super bumpy locals bus to Urubamba. From Urubamba, we went to Ollantaytambo.
