Oxford

Visiting friends was our excuse to have a day trip from London to Oxford. I am so happy we had the time to visit and explore this beautiful city and its surroundings. Getting there from London was easy and reasonably priced on The Oxford Tube! We had superior tour guides – Clare took us around Oxford central during the day, Amber and Neil took over in the evening, taking us on cute pub crawl and dinner in Northern Oxfordshire.

  1. Pity I didn’t realise you were going there. You could have searched out Francis’s grandfather’s college, St Peter’s, and taken a photo of Francis on the bench that I believe has a plaque with his name on it. He gave them a sum of money late in his life in gratitude for having been able to go there on a scholarship.
