Road trip to Provence via the Alps

We are enjoying the luxury of time in France, and decided to take 4 days to drive the small journey from Olivet to Provence, via the French Alps. We spent a few nights in the Alps with Francis’s host “Aunty and Uncle” who were superbly accommodating. We stopped off at a few villages along the way, with major stops in Paray le Monial and Annecy. We enjoyed a day of swimming in Lake Annecy from Duingt, which was a bit quieter and less touristic.

We then continued from the Alps towards Provence, where mountain ranges were replaced by sunflower fields.

Francis is back on google maps while I occupy the drivers seat. My favourite landscape to drive through so far.
